Nothing that tracks an ad click is stored until you press Allow.
This is the cookie notice for the website of I Do Bridal, a Seattle bridal boutique on N 85th St. The site itself needs one small storage key to remember your answer. Everything else on the list belongs to the ad platforms that bring brides here, and it waits for your permission.
Section 01
Effective date
This notice applies from September 30, 2026.
It took effect on September 30, 2026. When a cookie is added or removed, this page changes first and the date above moves with it. A new advertising cookie also resets the banner, so you are asked again rather than assumed to agree to something you never saw.
Section 02
Three categories
One category runs without asking; the other two wait for Allow.
Strictly necessary. The key that records your cookie answer, and the chat token if you open the support chat. Without the first, the banner would come back on every page. Without the second, a conversation about a veil length would vanish the moment you closed the tab. Neither identifies you to anyone outside the boutique.
Analytics. Counts of visits and pages, used to see whether brides find the gown pages or give up on the contact form halfway. Only after you allow storage.
Advertising. Cookies set by Google, Microsoft and Meta that link a visit to the ad that produced it, and in some cases show our ads again later. Only after you allow storage. We use this to stop paying for searches that never turn into a bridal appointment in Seattle.

Section 04
Where the clicks come from
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send visitors here today.
Someone types "bridal shop seattle" into a search box, sees our ad and clicks it. The link that lands here carries a click identifier. Google Ads adds gclid. Microsoft Advertising adds msclkid. Meta Ads adds fbclid when a campaign runs on Facebook or Instagram.
The identifier sits in the address bar whether or not you allow cookies. What changes with your answer is whether it gets stored and reported back. With storage denied it is read and dropped. With storage allowed the platform's cookie keeps it, and if you later send an inquiry, the platform learns that the click led somewhere. It does not learn your name, your wedding date or what you wrote.

Four signals start denied and go back to denied the moment you decline.

Consent Mode is Google's switchboard for these four signals, and the Microsoft and Meta tags on this site follow the same answer. While a signal is denied, the matching tag writes no cookie. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, all four stay denied without the banner asking.
Section 06
Giving and taking back consent
You answer once in the banner and can change it from any page footer.
The banner sits at the bottom of the screen on your first visit. It does not cover the page, and you can read gowns and book a fitting without touching it. Allow sets the four signals to granted. Decline keeps them denied. Either answer is saved under site_consent_v2 for 6 months, then the banner asks again.
To change your mind, press Cookie settings in the legal row at the foot of every page. The banner reopens with both buttons. Withdrawing takes effect on the spot: the signals return to denied and no further ad cookie is written. Cookies the platforms already set expire on their own schedule in the table above, or you can clear them in your browser settings immediately.
Section 07
What Decline changes
Declining stops the ad and analytics cookies and breaks nothing you need.
Every page still loads. The gown pages, the booking form and the support chat work exactly the same, and a stylist answers your inquiry the same way. What stops: no advertising cookie is set, Google, Microsoft and Meta receive no conversion from your visit, and you will not be followed around the web by our ads because of this visit. We lose the ability to say which ad brought you. That is our problem, not yours.

Once a platform holds its cookie, its own privacy policy governs it.
